Tennis Bracelets

The tennis bracelet takes its name from a 1987 US Open incident in which tennis player Chris Evert stopped a match to search for her diamond bracelet after the clasp gave way mid-game. The style has been a fine jewelry staple ever since — and for good reason. A continuous line of matched stones set close together in precious metal is one of those forms that is both utterly simple and genuinely difficult to improve upon. Selin Kent's tennis bracelets are handcrafted individually in her Brooklyn atelier, each piece set in solid 14K gold with stones matched by hand for consistency of colour and size. The collection spans white diamonds for the most classic expression of the form, black diamonds for something darker and more graphic, and gemstone styles for those drawn to color over brilliance. Each version reads differently on the wrist — the white diamond with its uninterrupted sparkle, the black diamond with its graphic stillness, the sapphire with a depth of blue that shifts with the light. All are flexible enough for daily wear and considered enough for any occasion. They stack naturally with fine chain bracelets and cuffs, or wear alone as the single statement piece on the wrist.
