Beaded Necklaces
Beaded jewelry is one of the oldest forms of adornment — worn across cultures and centuries as decoration, protection, and marker of identity. Selin Kent's beaded necklace collection works within that tradition, bringing natural materials — coral, white coral, turquoise, and heishi shells — into a fine jewelry context where they sit alongside diamonds and gemstones as equals rather than alternatives. Each piece is hand-strung and finished with 14K gold findings, the materials selected by Selin individually for their quality of color and surface. The coral ranges from deep terracotta to pale blush; the turquoise from vivid teal to softer, more muted tones; the heishi shells cut and polished into the flat discs that give them their particular, rhythmic quality when strung together.These necklaces wear differently from the gold and gemstone pieces in the collection.
