Anka Rising is inspired by the shared archetype of three mythological birds across three civilizations - the Persian Simurgh, the Anka of pre-Islamic and Arab legend, and the Phoenix of Ancient Greece. These pieces are made to mark meaningful moments of transition and transformation and to honor the self that emerges on the other side.
The Kanat Earrings distill the mythology to its most essential form: a single wing in 14k gold with each feather individually articulated, cradling a pear-cut ruby at its center.
